We are Nominees for The 20th Annual Webby Award – in 3 Categories!

Ubilabs has been selected as a Nominee for the renowned Webby Award 2016! Our work has been picked out as one of the five best in the world in its category. Our entries are competing for the Internet’s two most coveted awards: The Webby and The Webby People’s Voice Award.

Two of our recently published projects have been selected to compete in three categories:

Climb El Capitan and visit Miniatur Wunderland

Google Trek El Capitan is the first vertical Street View. We teamed up with the content production studio Sender + Big UP from Boulder, CO to document extreme athletes climbing El Capitan’s famous route "The Nose" in Yosemite National Park. Google Trek Miniatur Wunderland brings Street View to the eye level of the tiny inhabitants of the world’s most popular miniature railway. In order to capture the tiny landscapes and cities, we built a new camera system that is small enough to be transported on a tiny train.
